RH Furnace

RH Furnace, also known as RH Vacuum Circulation Degassing Refining Furnace or RH Degasser, is critical secondary metallurgy equipment installed after converter or electric arc furnace. Based on Ruhrstahl‑Heraeus vacuum circulation principle, molten steel circulates continuously between ladle and vacuum vessel under low pressure, to remove gas and impurities efficiently.

- Dehydrogenation: Reduce hydrogen content to avoid steel internal cracks
- Deep decarburization: Produce ultra-low carbon steel (<15ppm C)
- Deoxidation & inclusion removal, improve steel cleanliness

RH Furnace (RH Vacuum Circulation Degassing Refining Furnace / RH Degasser)

The RH furnace is a vital secondary metallurgy refining equipment for steelmaking, also widely named RH Degasser. It is installed after converters or electric arc furnaces to perform vacuum treatment on molten steel by the Ruhrstahl‑Heraeus circulation principle.

Under vacuum environment, molten steel continuously circulates between the ladle and vacuum vessel. It efficiently realizes deep decarburization, dehydrogenation, deoxidation and non-metallic inclusion removal, greatly improving the cleanliness of molten steel. Accurate alloy feeding and temperature homogenization can also be completed within the RH furnace. The optional RH‑OB oxygen blowing system supports smelting ultra-low carbon steel and high-grade special steel.
